Wild parrots of Australia up close and personal

On a business trip to Australia in October Bob Dippold had the opportunity to be in nature with wild parrots of Australia.  Matt Baird, a well known breeder and international speaker about parrots was kind enough to take Bob to a location outside of Melbourne where he was able to see many native birds of Australia.  "It was a tremendous experience.  To be standing in the forest and then suddenly be surrounded by Crimson Rosella parakeets, King Parrots and eventually 20 Sulfur Crested Cockatoos was amazing.  I was even 1 meter away from a Rose Breasted Cockatoo Click Here to Read More

When man has domesticated animals, like dogs and cats, they have typically lived longer because owners have provided better nutrition, removed predators and controlled the environment.  Unfortunately parrots have not been so fortunate to come into most people's homes.  Many people think that parrots should eat seeds like they do in the wild.  This thinking has created a population of obese parrots that die premature deaths and suffer from secondary diseases from obesity.  Wild parrots fly tens of kilometers a day.  The high concentration of fat from these seeds provides the parrot the energy that they need for Click Here to Read More

ZuPreem makes Breeder diets easier to import

ZuPreem Breeder diets have contained an animal origin ingredient (poultry egg) which in most countries have required a health certificate to import.  We are pleased to announce that ZuPreem Breeder diets have been reformulated and no longer contain animal origin ingredients.  Our reformulation has eliminated the requirement for health certificates on these diets in most cases.  While the Breeder diets have been reformulated to remove eggs from the ingredient panel ZuPreem Breeder diets still contain the same levels of proteins and essential amino acids, fats, carbohydrates and minerals and the same outstanding palatability that you have come to expect from ZuPreem avian products.  The reformulation of our Breeder diet is part of ZuPreem's ongoing effort to reduce international regulatory challenges for ZuPreem importers and help to maintain supply in foreign markets.  Now, all ZuPreem Avian products do not contain any animal origin ingredients and can be imported without health certificates in most cases.
