ZuPreem® Shows its Gratitude by Supporting Ben’s Fund

The ongoing belief in providing proper health and care for all animals leads ZuPreem to sponsor the Ben Cote Veterinary Student Scholarship Fund

Shawnee, Kan.-For the past 40 years, ZuPreem has remained innovative in providing quality nutrition to exotic pets and animals. In understanding that the quality of life and the improvement of health for all pets is important, ZuPreem appreciates those that continue to lead the way in improving the lives of animals.

In 2009, ZuPreem is pleased to sponsor Ben's Fund and all its efforts.

The Ben Cote Veterinary Scholarship Fund annually awards research grants to top Veterinary students for innovative studies to improve the welfare of animals. The fund was established at the Morris Animal Foundation (MAF) in 2007 as a lasting tribute to an 8-year-old boy whose love for animals was so strong it continues to inspire many others.

"ZuPreem is honored to support this effort as a tribute to a very enthusiastic young man who had such a love for animals. This scholarship fund helps keep this spirit alive and reminds us of the importance pets make in our everyday life," said David Morris, President of ZuPreem.

The Ben Cote family raises money for Ben's Fund by selling notecards. Each year, as a tribute, Ben's friends and family paint pictures that remind them of Ben and his extraordinary love for animals. The images are put on notecards and sold in four different collections. One collection features a portrait that Ben painted of an owl that sat outside his bedroom window. The family still hears the owl outside the window to this day.
